Good Monday morning everyone!
It's an active morning on VIPIR 7 Doppler radar with showers and thunderstorms moving in from the Gulf. We'll need to rain gear up for the morning hours today with quieter conditions expected for the afternoon.
Temperatures will start out in the mid 70s and thanks to the rain and clouds it'll be a slow climb into the low to mid 80s for afternoon highs today.
The early week will feature higher rain chances compared to the end of the week as a troughing pattern aloft will continue to keep us unsettled through Wednesday.
But by the end of the week we'll have ridging building back in throughout the Southeast. So I expect our weather to be much quieter Thursday and on into the weekend, however, it will get hot!
We'll start out the week with highs in the 80s, and by Friday we may see highs inland reach the upper 90s with low to mid 90s for the coast!
For today, mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely for the morning hours. Highs today will reach the low to mid 80s.
Your VIPIR 7 Day forecast will keep higher chances for rain in the early work week, turning more sunny and hot by Thursday and Friday.
