PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The fourth Tuesday of September is a day for celebrating our democracy.
Every year, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don't update their registration, or are not sure how to register.
So National Voter Registration Day helps make sure everyone has the chance to cast their vote.
"I think it's important to realize we may not have a lot of elections taking place in Bay County right now, but keeping everything up to date, getting registered if you are not registered, that's what we try to do," said Bay County Supervisor of Elections Mark Andersen.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, the Supervisor of Elections office will have people at ten locations throughout the county to help you register or update your information.
