PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - According to the Panama City Beach Police Department, one woman died from her injuries after a vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
Police said they responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Highway 79 at approximately 3:26 a.m.
They reportedly found a 2017 grey Honda four-door with heavy rear-end damage.
Officers said they pulled the driver, Kimberly Mason, out of the vehicle to attempt life-saving measures, but she died as a result of her injuries.
They found a white Dodge Ram pickup truck on the east end of the Express Lane convenience store parking lot, reportedly driven by Serna Lopez.
Officials said the Honda was facing eastbound stopped at the red light. They said the Dodge Ram was headed eastbound on Highway 98 and failed to stop for the Honda and hit the rear of the vehicle.
Further investigation is pending a traffic homicide investigation.
