PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Panama City Commissioners are moving forward with a proposal from the St. Joe Company for a hotel, lounge, and restaurant on the downtown marina property.

St. Joe's CEO says the hotel would be five stories or less and it would be paid for, built, owned, and operated without any financial help from the city.

Commissioners seem excited about the idea and are now exploring the possibility by looking at exact locations and a potential lease.
