WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Highway 331 is now looking a little wider.
The section of the highway between the Choctawhatchee Relief Bay Bridge and Highway 20 in both directions has been opened for drivers.
Construction crews could be seen on the highway moving traffic barrels out of the way Wednesday.
Expansion on this portion of Highway 331 started in the fall of 2012 at a cost of more than $27,000,000.
The 4.6 mile stretch of highway was expanded from two to four lanes and is expected to be completely finished by the end of the summer.
