SEAGROVE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Walton County Sheriff's Office is looking for more information on a theft of $12,600 worth of beach equipment.
On July 4 sheriff's officials responded to Seagrove Center Storage off of 30A and discovered beach chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, paddle boards and paddles had been stolen from a local business's storage unit. The beach chairs and umbrellas are blue and brown with the "Dillion's Beach Services 850-259-5849" logo on them.
According to video surveillance, a Penske rental truck pulled into the storage center parking lot the night before and exited 20 minutes later. The rental truck hit the side of the storage unit during the reported burglary, possibly causing damage to the passenger side.
