PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) - Good Thursday evening. I hope you enjoyed the 70's we felt this afternoon because we won't feel the warmth again for a while.
Temperatures tonight will dip down into the lower 60's with scattered showers popping up ahead of a cold front that will make it's way into the western half of the panhandle around sunrise tomorrow morning.
Okaloosa County will be the first ones to see the line of showers and storms associated with this front at the break of daylight. This line will continue to progress east, sitting over HWY 231 during the morning commute. So grab the umbrella and your patience on your way to work tomorrow morning.
We will dry out as we head into the afternoon, however, the clouds will stick around for the rest of the day.
The cold air behind this front will really seep into the panhandle overnight Friday and into Saturday morning. We will once again be in the 30's Saturday morning, 20's Sunday morning, with highs both days struggling to reach 50 degrees.
Next week looks to be well below average, with lows in the 20's and 30's and highs in the upper 40's to mid 50's under mainly sunny skies.
Have a wonderful Friday and stay dry!
