TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A man convicted of a 1990 Walton County murder is denied a new trial by the Florida Supreme Court.
Ernest Suggs, currently on Florida's Death Row, was convicted of killing Pauline Casey in 1994.
Casey worked at the Teddy Bear Bar and went missing in August of 1990. According to reports, Suggs was the last one seen at the bar. Police made imprints of his tires and compared them to tire marks on local dirt roads and that led police to Casey's body.
Suggs claimed he had new evidence that could prove his innocence, but the court ruled the evidence speculative and Suggs was denied a new trial.
