Springfield boil water notice

SPRINGFIELD, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -- The city of Springfield says, a water main break Thursday at Transmitter Road has left some of its residents under a boil water notice.

The city says if you live in the area between 11th Street and 15th Street, you should boil any water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.

We're told precautions should also be taken when bathing, especially those with an immune deficiency, infants or the elderly.

City officials say, a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. You can also purchase bottled water.
