Super Bowl Sunday Forecast

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) - Good Saturday evening! After starting our day with clear skies and temperatures near freezing, we noticed more clouds filling our skies and temperatures warming up into the low 60's. Unfortunately, rain is on the way.

Expect a few scattered showers overnight tonight under mostly cloudy skies. Lows will only dip into the low to mid 50's.

Widespread showers and storms are expected tomorrow morning as a cold front and an area of disturbed weather both park themselves over us. I am anticipating about 1-1.5 inches of rainfall tomorrow. We may even hear some rumbles of thunder. The line of storms will push in around the time you're heading out to church, so have the umbrella by the door before heading out. The good news is I do think we will dry out just in time for kick-off tomorrow evening. Your pre-game festivities will most likely need to be inside, but you will be able to get the grill out and barbecue as the game is getting ready to start.

Sunshine returns for the first half of our work week with highs getting into the mid to upper 60's.

Front number 2 will move in during the afternoon hours of Wednesday, so expect yet another round of showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two.

We will be dry to end the work week but the evening hours of next Saturday look to be wet as front number 3 enters the panhandle.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
