Good Friday morning everyone and TGIF!
It's another quiet morning on VIPIR 7 Doppler radar with clear skies.
Temperatures were cold for you once again heading out the door, especially inland with 30s, 40s on the coast. But they warm quickly through the morning, we'll be in the 60s after 9am.
Winds today shift to the south and that will start to increase our moisture, but hardly noticeable today. It'll be a bit more humid, or sticky feeling tomorrow.
Not only do we have southerly winds at the surface, but also aloft and that will draw in a few more upper level clouds throughout the day. Still a mainly sunny day, but a sign of some changes on the horizon.
Satellite and radar are still quiet as high pressure is located over Florida today. But as it shifts east the return flow on the back side will help feed a developing area of low pressure with warmth and moisture.
That'll create a few chance for showers to move our way on Saturday.
Looks like the morning could be the best shot at a few rounds of rain. But for the most part, it should be very scattered and periodic on Saturday. And it looks as though the morning may contain the better chance for the rain at the moment.
The good news is it passes quiet quickly and we're back to beautiful skies with warm temperatures to finish off the weekend on Sunday.
Despite the clouds on Saturday with small rain chances, temps will still be warm near 70. And on Sunday we'll be almost 10-15 degrees warmer than average with highs in the mid to upper 70s, pushing 80 inland to start off next week!
For today, mainly sunny skies with warm temperatures near 70 after a chilly start. Temperatures will be cool this evening mainly in the 60s and upper 50s. But it won't be an overly cold night overnight with lows in the upper 40s inland and low 50s on the coast.
Your weekend may be a little more iffy for Saturday with the on and off rain chance through the day, but Sunday should be a gem!
