CHIPLEY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Three teenagers were shot at by a homeowner in Washington County off of Pettis Road early Sunday morning, according to deputies. The homeowner reportedly caught the three in the act of burglarizing their cars in the front yard of his home.
According Washington County Sheriff's Office, one of the three, Tristen Wilson, 19, was shot in the leg by the homeowner as they were running away from the scene.The victim told deputies Wilson turned toward the homeowner in a manner that scared him, so he opened fire.
Washington County deputies later found the black Honda the three drove away sitting in the middle of Pettis Road.
According to deputies, a loaded 9mm handgun was found inside the car and a small bag of marijuana was found on Wilson. Wilson was taken to Bay Medical for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Kevin Taylor, 15, was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice on charges of grand theft of a firearm, two counts of burglary, and obstructing justice according to the sheriff's office
Conrad VonBlankenburg, 19, was taken to the Washington County jail on the same charges as Taylor.
Wilson is also being charged with the same as the other two in addition to possession of marijuana less than 20 grams.
