Thursbay, Ashbrook re-elected to Port St. Joe city commission

PORT ST. JOE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Two Port St. Joe city commissioners have been re-elected.

In Tuesday's election, William Thursbay beat challenger Carl Hopper 62 percent to 38 percent (550 votes to 337 votes) in the race for the Group 1 seat.

In Group 2, David Ashbrook held off a challenge from Eric Langston, winning by a margin of just four percentage points, 52 percent to 48 percent (471 votes to 433 votes.)

Supervisor of Elections John Hanlon reports voter turnout for the election was almost 34 percent with 907 of the 2680 registered voters turning out to cast a ballot.
