Thursday Forecast

Good Thursday morning everyone and Happy Friday Eve!

It's a quiet start for many of us over the Panhandle this morning. However, there are a few stray showers coming up out of the Gulf. They're quite small, quick-hitters, and widely spread out so they may only get seen by very few of us.

Otherwise, temperatures outside are very warm near the coast where most are still in the 80s, mid 70s inland. Another summery day lies ahead with just a couple more shots at a shower or thunderstorm to cool off this afternoon. Highs today will reach the 90s inland to upper 80s on the coast and heat indices will touch the triple digits in many spots.

Our ridge is starting to break down aloft, however, and that will lend some small changes in the forecast for the upcoming weekend. The heat won't back off completely, but we should be able to take a couple degrees off. Especially as we develop a few more shots at a little rain.

We'll start seeing a few more of these Gulf morning showers trying to reach the coast in the morning hours, followed by a bit more of a robust sea breeze in the afternoon, mainly for inland areas. All of the activity is still expected to be widely scattered, hit or miss variety, that may only last about an hour or so out of your day throughout the weekend.

Bottom Line...
For today, mostly to partly sunny with a scattered shower or thunderstorm possible in the morning on the coast and inland in the afternoon. Highs today will be near 90 on the coast to low 90s inland with a heat index around 100°. Your 7 Day Forecast will keep a summery storm chance in store for us each day, but a slightly better chance at a hit on Saturday and Sunday.
