PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP)- Panama City police have arrested two Miami residents after they allegedly attempted to use a cloned credit card.
According to the Panama City Police Department, officers responded to the CVS on West 15th street in Panama City for a fraudulent credit card. Jah-ran Alexander and Beatrice Blain were attempting to use a cloned credit card to make a purchase.
Officers say Alexander was recognized as a suspect in several other credit card fraud cases.
After receiving a search warrant for Blain and Alexander's vehicle, officers say they found numerous counterfeit credit cards, gift cards, a laptop, an embosser for stamping credit cards, and a reencoder for encoding information onto the counterfeit credit cards.
Some of the charges Blain and Alexander are facing include trafficking in counterfeit credit cards, criminal use of personal identification, and fraudulent use of a credit card.
