PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Deputies with the Bay County Sheriff's Office made two arrests Wednesday after a tip about stolen property led investigators to an apartment they said had drugs inside.
An investigator went to check out a tip Wednesday about a stolen trailer at a home on Gray Avenue in Panama City. The investigator says he was able to confirm with the victim the trailer was stolen.
The investigator says the two men living on the property refused to allow law enforcement on the property, so officers got a search warrant.
They say during the search, a Toyota Tundra that had been reported stolen Tuesday was found. They say they searched an apartment behind the home and found about 30 grams of methamphetamine, manufactured drug paraphernalia, and blank cards used to make fake ID cards.
Deputies arrested Brian Simpson, 35, and William Riggleman, 47.
Simpson is charged with grand theft of the trailer.
Riggleman, who deputies say was the man who lived in the apartment behind the home, was charged with trafficking in meth, manufacture of drug paraphernalia, and fraud-possession of driver's license blanks or ID's.
