CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Crestview man is facing attempted murder charges after Okaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies say he beat his wife and shot at family members.
Deputies say they responded to a home on Barnes Road Monday afternoon after getting reports of a domestic violence incident.
Deputies say Thomas Davis, Sr., 72, attacked his wife because she did not have his medication. They say Davis beat his wife with his fists and with a wooden table leg. Deputies say the couple's son and daughter-in-law came to the home after Davis' wife texted them for help.
Deputies say Davis and his son got into an argument. They report Davis then pointed a gun in the direction of his daughter-in-law and fired. A pellet ricochet into her neck. She was treated at a local hospital.
Davis' son tells deputies his father threatened to kill him and shot at him twice but missed.
Davis' wife was treated for injuries ranging from multiple head contusions to a black eye.
