WCSO: Teen arrested when returning to U.S. after fleeing to Israel

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - According to the Walton County Sheriff's Office, a 14-year-old suspect wanted in connection with multiple burglaries was arrested when he returned to the United States from Israel.

Deputies said seven suspects were thought to be responsible for more than 50 car burglaries in Walton County in September. They said five handguns were stolen from unlocked cars but three of them have been found.

Deputies arrested six people regarding the 49 burglaries, but one suspect identified as Elden Boskila, 14, left the country for Israel before deputies could question him. The Walton County Sheriff's Office issued more than 20 warrants for his arrest.

On December 17th, Boskila was identified by TSA Agents in Houston, Texas, trying to get back into the country. The Houston Police Department arrested Boskila.

Boskila was extradited to Walton County December 22. He's facing 44 charges including multiple counts of armed burglary, burglary, and grand theft of a firearm.
