Good Wednesday morning everyone!
We had some excitement this morning in areas like Gulf, Franklin and Liberty Counties where a few flakes to a dusting of snow may have been found on some cars around sunrise. But other than a stray few flakes around the Wiregrass this morning, this event is and always was going to be a bigger problem to our east for areas like Tallahassee and Lake City. I-10 had to be shut down this morning from the Capital Circle West exit in Tallahassee to Live Oak due to ice on the roads. The Tallahassee National Weather Service reported 0.1" of snow accumulation in Tallahassee this morning.
Temps are cold, but not as cold as yesterday, in fact a lot of us are going to start our day in the 30s with feels like temps in the upper 20s. Clouds will be around in the morning but we'll turn sunny into the afternoon.
We'll stay cold with twenties returning again tomorrow morning and forties for the afternoon. We won't see this break until the weekend when we start to see temps rebound through early next week.
For today, mostly cloudy skies in the morning, skies turn sunny in the afternoon. Highs today near 48. Your VIPIR 7 Day Forecast will keep us dry through the next several days with our next shot at rain on Monday where temps will warm up to the upper 60s.
