PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) - Good Wednesday morning! Grab the umbrellas as you'll need them for the next few days. Expect off and on showers this afternoon and Thursday afternoon as our atmosphere remains unstable due to a front and a trough of low pressure at the surface. We will be cool, cloudy, and wet until Thursday evening.
We will dry out and eventually see more peaks of sunshine on Friday, but our skies will clear out for a perfect, sunny Saturday.
Mother Nature looks to be ending 2017 on a wet note as a frontal boundary is expected to cross our area right around midnight on New Years Eve. I don't anticipate a washout, but scattered showers are in the forecast for New Years Eve night.
We dry out and cool way down as we begin 2018. Lows next Tuesday morning could be below freezing even at the coastline, with 20's inland. With breezy conditions, a wind chill will knock a few degrees off the air temperature.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
