What you need to know ahead of municipal election day

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Tuesday, April 17th, is municipal election day in Bay County and residents in three local cities will get to cast their ballots.

Callaway residents will decide between incumbent Melba Covey and Scott Davis for the Ward 1 commission seat and incumbent Wayne McLeod and David T. Griggs for Ward 2.

They'll also vote on an amendment to the city's charter.

Voting will take place at the Callaway Arts and Conference Center at 500 Callaway Parkway, Callaway, FL, 32404.

In Panama City Beach, the city council Ward 3 seat is up for grabs. Geoff McConnell, Skip Stoltz, and Burnie Thompson are vying for the position.

Voters will cast their ballots at Frank Brown Park, located at 16200 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach, FL, 32413.

Lastly, Springfield residents will decide between Jackie Kennington and Beth McLean for the city commission's Ward 3 seat.

Voting will take place at the Springfield Community Center. That's at 3728 E. 3rd Street, Panama City, FL. 32401.

All polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
