Woman arrested for drugs and resisting arrest

HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - On September 8th, a Holmes County deputy spotted a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of New Smyrna Church. The deputy found Paige Dault and her infant child inside.

According to the Holmes County Sheriff's Office, Dault told the deputy her vehicle had broken down and was waiting for someone to pick her up.

The deputy then asked Dault for permission to search the vehicle, which Dault granted. A ball of aluminum foil containing methamphetamine was found in the driver's door pocket.

Dault was then placed under arrest and began kicking and headbutting the glass of the vehicle.

Dault has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest with violence.

The Department of Children and Families has been notified about the infant.
