Coach Jeff Lee out as North Bay Haven football coach

PANAMA CITY, Fla (WJHG/WECP) - For the second time in four years, the Buc's of North Bay Haven will be making a change.

North Bay Haven Athletic Director Kevin Jacobs sent an email Tuesday morning stating coach Lee has decided to take an administrative position at Bay Haven Middle School, and was thus resigning as the Buc's head coach.

Our attempts to reach coach Lee to confirm he is indeed resigning were unsuccessful. Sources close to the situation have told NewsChannel 7 Sports the coach was being forced out and was surprised by the move.

At any rate, this ends his three year stint in the job. His first season at the helm the Buc's went 0-10, but he followed that up with a 5-6 record in 2016, then 5-5 last year and the program's first playoff berth.

This move comes three years to the day the previous coach, and the first coach the Buc's ever had, Jared Hale was forced out of that job.

Hale has since filed suit against Bay District Schools Superintendent Bill Husfelt alleging wrongful termination.
