A manhunt in Walton County for two burglary suspects ended with a man being charged with growing marijuana on his property.

The Walton County Sheriff's Office was conducting a manhunt in the Freeport area for two people connected to a home burglary. At the end of the manhunt the aviation unit was heading back to the helipad when spotters aboard the helicopter saw what they believed was several marijuana plants growing in a yard.

The helicopter landed and deputies confirmed their suspicion. A total of 19 marijuana plants, approximately three ounces of drying marijuana and miscellaneous growing equipment, were found.

The homeowner, William L. Pardue returned home a short while later and was taken into custody. He's facing numerous drug charges.
