The holidays are over, the kids are back in school, but there is one last thing you need to do before it gets any later! Sit your kids down to write thank you notes!

We have tips for starting proper etiquette.

Kids love getting gifts, and in today's society it seems like they get a lot of them! Birthdays, holidays, the presents seem endless, but one thing that has seemed to end for many children is taking the time to write a proper thank you note.

There are some tips to follow to get your child to do it correctly. Try focusing on the basics and keep it short and simple, and don't forget to send a thank you if you receive cash as a gift.

"When it’s cash you receive as a gift, make sure you don't focus on the cash but instead what you are going to do with the gift."

If your child is too young to write his own thank you note, then do it for him. Maybe just get him to include his signature if he can write his name, but as soon as he's old enough teach him to write them himself and try to stay away from the email! It’s more formal and thoughtful to put pen to paper.
