WALTON COUNTY-- Last month, Commissioner Bill Imfeld came up with the idea to take $500,000 from the general fund reserve and put it towards storm water improvements for the county.
During Tuesday’s meeting, residents will give their opinion on whether the county should move forward with the proposal.
"Everything has been built for 25 year floods, and that sort of thing, because it has always been part of the planning process. Now we see we need to do better, we can do better, to make sure we can have our storm water a lot more effective, especially in the areas where we are having the most issues,” said Louis Svehla, Public Information Officer for Walton County.
After all the public comments board members will then vote on the plan.
