A Preview to Local Industry Appreciation Week

Whatever the stock market and national economic reports are saying, business leaders in Bay County are celebrating.

Later in September the Bay County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the annual Industry Appreciation Week.

It got off to an early start this week by naming five businesses as winners of the County Diversification Awards.

Vision Bank, Knology, Merrick Industries, Mercury Marine and CityNet were all recognized for their part in bringing a variety of jobs to Bay County.

The five companies helped to bring the lowest unemployment rate in 14 years to Bay County.
