Hundreds of people are lining up for hours at a time at home improvement stores to stock up on supplies.
The lines were long and hot, but everyone at the Home Depot on 23rd Street was leaving with plywood to protect their homes and businesses.
Most say they've seen enough video of the damage left by Hurricanes Charley and Frances to be well prepared.
Home Depot still has plywood and expects several more trucks in the next couple of days. Lowe's is out, but expects an emergency truck to deliver soon.
Another option is Midsouth Lumber on 11th Street across from Jinks Middle School. The best idea is to call ahead before shopping.
