A single car accident on Interstate 10 near DeFuniak Springs in Walton County has killed an Okeechobee woman.
The fatality was identified as 65-year-old Loretta Laporte. She was a passenger in a car driven by her husband.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say they were towing a 30-foot travel trailer, which began to swerve off the highway and back across the roadway.
The car began to overturn, tossing the woman out. She was crushed to death by the overturning vehicle.
