A 28-foot boat was destroyed Saturday afternoon in a fire that spread from the salon area of the boat.
It happened at the Sun Harbor Marina in Panama City around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.
No one was on the boat at the time but the owner was present. The boat was fully engulfed in flames by the time fire fighters arrived.
The State Fire Marshall and Panama City Fire Investigators say a short in the electrical socket is to blame for the fire and about 65 percent of the boat is damaged.
Two engines, a tower truck and fire boat were on the scene and it took them about 20 minutes to put the fire out.
