Nighttime Curfew Continues in Okaloosa County Because of Ivan Damage

Monday night’s curfew situation in Okaloosa County remains unchanged from the previous night. Three specific areas are under a curfew order from 7 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning:

  • Holiday Isle
  • Okaloosa Island
  • All areas west of Hurlburt Field and south of U.S. Highway 98

Emergency travel, newspaper and other necessary deliveries, and travel to and from work will not be considered curfew violations.

No curfew orders remain in effect in other sections of Okaloosa County.

Residents and business operators are reminded daytime access to Okaloosa Island and Holiday Isle will resume at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The hours from daylight until 1:00 p.m. are being utilized for unimpeded access of heavy equipment necessary for road clearing and utilities repair.
