Why is everyone blaming the mother??? Seriously people, wake up! THE NURSE should have been experienced enough to know when a child is in some type of distress. SHE should be the one punished! She just watched him die. Oh well, THIS IS NOT THE FINAL JUDGMENT! Remember that! It will come and HE will make that determination. God Bless the Family. There was a 14 year old boy that died from such a terrible situation. And that is all it is about. But I will say this, my husband has sickle cell trait along with my daughter. He served time in the military, he had to go through a much more strenuous activity through basic training then what Martin went through. How is it that my husband never went down??? HMM, good question huh? Again, God Bless the family. And they should understand that this is not truly over.

What a joke only minutes to decide when a child has been murdered, I wonder how many people on the jury knew one of the 8 who killed this child. I pray that Martin's parents willl not give up and try everything in their power to get justice for their son's death, even if its in a civil suit. God bless Martins family...RIP Martin Lee Anderson

now that the Anderson trial is over. Who is going to charge the mother for her son's death. She was the person that lied, which in my opion, resulted in his death. Take the blame WOMAN!!! Quit lying the blame elsewhere. You conceived him, you took the responsibilty for raising him. You are the neglectful party. It was all about the money. Get a grip.

I am glad to see that there are still some people in Bay county that have good judgement. I have been watching the case from the start, and One thing that I did not approve of was the media using the picture of the little cute 12 year old Martin. The picture that should have been used is the one of the 14 year old gang member Martin. I do not think the media should be attempting to sway public opinion, but to just report the news. I have heard the national news this morning, and I am really upset at what I have heard. The media is reporting that "an all white jury" has acquitted the seven guards that killed a black teen in Bay county Florida. Does that sound like reporting the truth??? If Al or Jessie show up they both need to be run out of town, and if they start riots, they should be arrested. Do you think that the Mother should be put on trial for lying on the boot camp application, should she not bear some if not all of the blame for not telling the truth???

It's great to see the American justice system work the way it was designed to. The FACTS were presented and the truth came forth. It's unfortunate that so many can't except the truth...that Martin Lee was not killed...he died of natural causes. His death was tragic. The media circus that came afterwards was worse. The current media loves to stir the pot without looking at the facts. The sad truth is that most Americans still rely on the "drive-by media" for their information. Today's media has become so desperate for a story, that they're willing to do anything to cause an uproar. A lot of folks are shocked to see these guards acquitted because the media did their best to convict them prematurely without reporting the facts. You simply cannot rely on today's media to report the truth. It's unfortunate when emotions get in the way of facts.

I am so happy they were acquitted. I am sorry the boy is gone, but I do not believe the officers were at fault for his death. It is a shame that this is blown to the porportion it was.

The parents of Martin Lee Anderson are the one that should have been on trial. If he was raised as a law abiding citizen, none of this would have happened!

now that they found the gaurds not guity..are they going to arrest martins mom for enrolling him in the boot camp knowing he had siclke cell trait and putting him in a position she knew by signing the papers that he should not have gone into because of his sickle cell trait she should be aressted for child endangerment..she fully knew that something could happen to him by not telling them of his illness..if any one should be in prison because of his death it needs to be the one that lied that put him in there...his mom...

I do not even know why they bothered with a so-called trial. Everyone knows that nothing was ever going to happen to those guards and nurse. It was just another N---er gone!! In essence, I think they got away with(if not murder), involuntary man slaughter.Either way, they should have been made to be accountable in some form! But like I said, just another one out the way done legally through this farce of a justice system.

Race has noting to do with anything here. It is a case of our ever increasing police state. A case of men in authority that abuse their authority. How would these men like someone to treat their child the way they treated that boy? These men held an unconscious boy up on his feet and beat him. Any idiot knows not to stuff ammonia sticks up a person's nose. When I went through Army Boot Camp back in 1978, I was hit and kicked a few times. Never, ever did the Army Drill Instructors abuse anyone they way these people abused that boy. This is a prime example of the kind of things that goes on when the wrong person is given authority and is the reason that I am no longer a police officer. I refuse to associate bullies! There are many men (and women)who, when given a gun and a badge, or in this case a DI hat and a badge, will abuse their power. I've seen so many cases of prisoner abuse when I was a police officer. Abuse for the sole purpose of having the feeling of power over someone.

The NAACP is supposed to be in the area in order to protest the not guilty verdict that they knew was coming, on the Boot Camp trial. I think these so called leaders should be explained the meaning of anarchy and civil disobedience, because any trouble coming from this will be stirred up by these ancient trouble makers.
