The Bay County Grand Jury in Panama City has handed down an indictment in an August 28 double murder.

Twenty-one-year-old Thomas Couch was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of Daniel Fabris and Nicole Savegeau at a mobile home in Callaway.

Couch allegedly shot 20-year-old Fabris to death after an argument. The two were roommates.

Fabris’ girlfriend, Nicole Savageau, tried to run from the home when the shooting broke out, but Fabris allegedly shot her with an assault rifle and killed her as she ran.

It was Ms. Savegau’s 17th birthday.

Couch is being held in the Bay County Jail without bond.
