It happened at about 3a.m. Tuesday morning about a mile east of Highway 77 on Spikes Road.

Forty-year-old Barry Taylor and his girlfriend Mary Dorris were inside of the double wide at the time of the fire.

Taylor was able to make it out of the blaze, but Dorris was not. Neighbors and relatives rushed to the scene but said the house was fully engulfed before they could help.

As for the cause of the fire, it's still under investigation by the Bay County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Taylor is being treated and monitored at a local hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.
