FEMA Money Dispersal

FEMA has spent more than $1 million in five northwest Florida counties in the month since Hurricane Ivan hit.

Jackson County, the Marianna area, has received the most help, nearly $420,000.

Holmes County has received more than $316,000, Washington County $105,000, Calhoun County gets $96,000 and Gulf County residents have received about $67,000.

Statewide, Hurricane Ivan relief is just over $1.7 billion.

These statistics will change. FEMA has not yet released it's figures for Bay, Okaloosa and Walton Counties, which have had many more people qualify for relief.
