Former congressmen and U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Pete Peterson, met with veterans in Marianna this week to dispute claims about Democrat John Kerry's war record.
Peterson was accompanied by two swift boat veterans who served with Kerry in Vietnam.
They were promoting a movie called "Going Up River" which details Kerry's service during the war.
Kerry’s record has been the target of other Swift Boat veterans who say Kerry was trying to build a political career on the incidents in Vietnam. Peterson strongly discounted those claims and called them baseless.
The group plans to visit at least eight-cities between Pensacola and Orlando before Election Day.
