Students, it's time to get out your red t-shirts and ribbons for this year's Red Ribbon Week. Bay District Schools, the Health Department and the Sheriff's Office are working together this week to teach students about drug prevention.
The theme for 2004 is “Drug free, I have the power.” Schools plan daily activities aimed to teach students the dangers about drugs and alcohol.
The campaign began to honor a drug enforcement agent who was tortured and murdered while investigating a major drug cartel. The agent believed that one person can make a difference in the war against drugs.
