You need to stock your candy bowl a day early in Bay County for early trick-or-treaters.

The Bay County Sheriff's Office is encouraging everyone to celebrate Halloween on Saturday, October 30. The Sheriff's Office will hold a community Halloween celebration on Friday night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for children up to 12 years old.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is asking trick-or-treaters to go ahead on Sunday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

They want to remind everyone that it will be darker than usual because Daylight Savings ends Sunday morning at 2 a.m.
