Police Lock Down Panama City School

Students and teachers at Panama City Christian School had a scare Tuesday morning.

The pre-k through 12 private school at 11th St. and Balboa Avenue was locked down Monday morning from 10 a.m. until about 10:45 a.m.

A student ran into the office saying she was chased onto campus by a man with a gun.

Panama City police searched and cleared the campus. They are now patrolling the neighborhood around the school looking for the suspect. So far, the man has eluded lawmen.

Police tell NewsChannel Seven he's a man in his 30s with a goatee and wearing a green shirt or sweater. They also say he could be carrying a handgun.
