Jury Lets Stabbing Suspect Go Free

A man charged with second degree attempted murder for a stabbing earlier this year is a free man now.

A Bay County Circuit Court jury found 40-year-old Thang Van Nguyen not guilty of second degree attempted murder.

The charges stem from a stabbing outside of the May Tim Cafe back on May 20. Parker police claimed Nguyen stabbed 29-year-old Kim T. Le at least a dozen times as Le walked out of the bar a little before 9:00 that night.

He was hospitalized in critical condition but later recovered. Authorities found and arrested Nguyen in Pensacola two days later.

Apparently jurors didn't buy the state's case. It took them just three hours to come back with the not guilty verdict.
