Missing Persons Case in Marianna May Be Solved

Contractors working at the Sunland Facility in Jackson County found what appeared to be a human skull, and that discovery touched off a further search.

Now, investigators have found the remainder of skeleton from a pit beneath the floor of an old storage facility at Sunland.

Deputies say the initial investigation from dental records shows the skeletal remains may be those of Franklin Weekly. He had been missing from the Sunland Center where he was a client in December of 2002.

The remains were transported to the medical examiner’s office in Panama City for identification and investigation.
