An investigation into the Bay County Jail hostage situation that happened in September could be coming to a close.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is expected to hand over its report Tuesday to the state attorney's office. The report details the incident and has interviews with those involved.
Four inmates were charged with kidnapping and attempted escape after a 12-hour standoff ending in a shootout. The last hostage was wounded in the shootout, but did survive her injuries.
The state attorney's office will decide whether to press charges depending on the FDLE report.
