Clary Gets Top Appointment

Sen. Charlie Clary of Destin now has a new title in the Senate. Wednesday he was appointed as the president pro tempore of the Florida Senate.

Sen. Clary represents District 4 which includes parts of Bay, Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton Counties.

Traditionally, the president pro tempore of the Florida Senate serves as a key advisor to the Senate president and presides over the legislative sessions in the absence of the Senate president.
