Freeport Fire

The fire broke out around 12:30 in a barn. The barn is located just a few feet away from a house on Black Creek Boulevard in Freeport.

The owner had it packed full of tools and farm equipment worth thousands of dollars. The flames destroyed it all.

Two people were inside of the house at the time of the fire. Firefighters were able to control the flames so they didn't spread to the home, and no one was hurt.

Fire officials are investigating reports that a nearby trash fire may have been the cause.
