A man who burst into a Pensacola home has died after fighting with frightened residents and being shocked twice with a taser stun gun by Escambia County sheriff's deputies.
Sheriff's officials say the intruder smashed a garage window of the Pensacola home Saturday morning. It was unclear why he broke in.
Neighbors say he was yelling during the confrontation at Kristy and Kent Bodily's home.
When deputies arrived, Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials say the suspect was fighting with family members.
Deputies tried to handcuff the man but he resisted, so they fired a taser twice to stop him. The suspect, who has not been identified, collapsed and died during the struggle.
