New Name for 52-Year-Old Financial Institution

One of the oldest credit unions in Bay County, NCSC Federal Credit Union, is now Innovations Federal Credit Union.

Since it was chartered in 1952, the credit union's membership came primarily from the local Navy base.

In December 2003, NCSC Federal Credit Union became a Community credit union, making everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Bay County eligible for membership.

To better reflect the new charter, mission, vision and business strategies, the NCSC Board of Directors voted to change the name to Innovations Federal Credit Union.

A credit union spokesman said the commitment to high service standards continues.

Plans are also being made for future branch expansion.
