Blue Angels Lift Morale at Home Base in Pensacola, FL

The Blue Angels are wrapping up a two-day air show in Pensacola, hoping to bring some cheer to the hurricane-ravaged city.

The Florida Panhandle community still has thousands of temporarily patched roofs, gutted buildings and piles of debris from September's Hurricane Ivan.

The executive officer of the Pensacola Naval Air Station says, "We felt that the community needed this."

The air station was able to host the precision flying team despite suffering a severe blow from the hurricane. Thirty buildings were badly damaged and trees were blown down everywhere.

One area woman says the show "means a lot." She says, "It's like we're going to be back again."
