I-10 Reopens

For the first time in more than two months, eastbound traffic crossed the Escambia Bay Bridge Saturday afternoon.

Department of Transportation officials opened one lane around 1:30. Because a significant amount of metal decking was used for the repairs, DOT officials decided to restrict eastbound traffic to just one lane. Motorists called to tell us traffic was backed up for miles.
