$50,000 Jewelry Heist Investigated

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating diamonds and gold stolen from a Destin condominium.

Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward to the anonymous caller who helps investigators solve a $50,000 jewelry theft.

The jewelry was taken from a unit on the 17th floor of the Silver Beach Towers, 1050 E. Highway 98, on Wednesday, October 20 or Thursday, October 21. There were no signs of forced entry.

Stolen items include a gold Omega necklace, a gold herringbone necklace, a 1920 gold $20 coin surrounded by small diamonds, a gold coin in an octagonal gold mounting, a 28-inch 18-kt gold chain, a gold bracelet with gold baguettes; a gold matching ring with diamond baguettes, a gold-plated sand dollar on a 28-inch chain, a zirconia pendant; matching zirconia earrings; and a platinum ring with diamond cluster.
