Panama City Condo Projects

City commissioners voted to rezone two waterfront properties to potentially allow for condominiums there.

The board voted unanimously to approve the rezoning of Snug Harbor Marina in Millville to make way for a 15-story condo and marina.

Commissioners also voted 4 to 1 to allow the rezoning of Tibbets Boatworks on Massilina Bayou near The Cove, much to the dismay of people living nearby.

More than a dozen residents objected to the plans that call for a multi-leveled condo reaching nine stories high. Commissioner Kathryn Hanline was the only dissenting vote. She sided with residents.

The city still has to approve development plans for both sites before construction can begin.
